About Teacher

Guy Gelem is an Israeli musician living in Prague. He started to play guitar at the age of 10 ,studied music In high school and later in ‘Rimon’ school of Jazz and contemporary music in Israel. During his studies he played with local artists and bands ,performed and recorded mostly in Tel Aviv and taught private guitar lessons. In 2004 he relocated to London with his band to play and record their original material. During his 4 years staying in London he taught guitar, started to learn to play the cello and to compose Electroacoustic music using electric guitar, cello and home recording equipment adopting minimalist approach to his work. In 2008 he released his debut ’Works’ on the English label ‘Split Femur’ followed by the EP ‘Lines’. His latest releases which he recorded in the Czech Republic are ‘Slow Forms’( ‘Rural Colours’) and ‘Tides’ (Quiet Design). Guy composes music for Contemporary dance, theatre, and other projects and collaborating with different artists mostly in Czech and Israel.
